DJ Skurge emerged from East Detroit's Cabaret scene, catching the attention of Underground Resistance's Mad Mike with his deep musical knowledge. This recognition led to his integration into the legendary Underground Resistance collective, where he became a pivotal figure in multiple projects including Galaxy 2 Galaxy, Interstellar Fugitives, and The Aquanauts.
Skurge's talent and versatility earned him a spot alongside techno pioneer Juan Atkins in the revived Model 500. His dedication to the craft has led him to become a musical director in various projects while releasing his genre-bending EPs and recording with The Aquanauts and Model 500.
Despite his involvement in numerous high-profile collaborations, Skurge often describes himself as the 'tall guy in the back, in the shadows.' However, his roots as a DJ remain at his core, reflecting his unwavering passion for the decks and his integral role in shaping Detroit's rich musical legacy.
