Born in Tokyo, raised in Beijing, and now a resident in London, DJ and producer object blue has quickly gained a reputation as a top player in the experimental club music game. Her seamless blending of techno, unpredictable rhythms, and sound design is cerebral and body-moving, throwing in layers of her distinct character every step of the way.
Besides garnering support from i-D, Pitchfork, Dazed, Mixmag, and CRACK for her EPs, her artistic pursuits show the wide arrange objects Blue navigates in. For example, collaborating with brands like Apple and Adidas or composing the music for Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood SS20, performing it live at Paris Fashion Week. In 2021, she released a 5-track audio-visual EP, Grotto, accompanied by a unique live show creatively directed by object blue and her wife and creative partner, Natalia Podgórska.
